About PUS Payments
We're not really about payments.
PUS Payments is an online payment platform for entrepreneurs across the Caribbean, starting in Bonaire. It gives car rental companies, tour operators, event organizers, and hotels a simple way to accept credit card payments online — merchant-first, human, and built without the usual bureaucracy.
We handle the payments. You handle everything else.
Our mission
Enable every entrepreneur in the Caribbean to accept online payments as easily as businesses anywhere else in the world.
Payments aren't the point. They're the tool. The real goal is making entrepreneurship easier — for the car rental company juggling bookings over WhatsApp, the tour operator tired of cash-only excursions, the hotel that just wants deposits to show up on time.
Our vision
Start on Bonaire. Expand to Aruba and Curaçao. Grow across the Caribbean.
And never lose the speed, humor, and directness of a startup along the way — no matter how big we get.
Why does PUS Payments exist?
Nick Beuzekamp isn't a banker. He spent more than a decade inside the payments industry — not building the products, but marketing them, which meant learning exactly how onboarding, merchant acceptance, fraud checks, payment flows, and customer journeys actually work, from the inside.
After moving to Bonaire, one thing became painfully clear: local entrepreneurs deserved better. Accepting an online payment — something businesses everywhere else take completely for granted — was needlessly hard here.
More than twenty rejections from payment partners later, the decision got simple: if nobody was going to build it, we would.
Where does the name PUS come from?
PUS is a nod to the Papiamentu word for purple — which is also where our purple accent color comes from.
It's also, if you squint, a wink at "Pay Up, Sucker."
What we believe
We're merchant-first, not bank-first. Human, not corporate. Fast, not bureaucratic. Flexible, not locked in.
- Businesses shouldn’t wait weeks to get started.
- Vendor lock-in hurts entrepreneurs, so we don’t do it.
- Technology should disappear into the background — money has no personality, but trust does.
- A "no" today beats leaving someone waiting.
- Momentum beats perfection.
And our biggest competitor isn't Stripe or Adyen. It's "we'll just keep doing it by hand." We exist to remove that barrier.
What you can expect
We don't measure success by features shipped. We measure it by what you stop having to think about. Eventually, we want you to say: "our revenue went up," "I never think about payments anymore," and "the money is just there." Every time.
